No. Each plan is built for each individual Bride, so if you don't have access to a gym, we build your plan based on that. If you do have access to the gym, and enjoy going, we will build you a gym-based plan. Most of the Brides we support train from home and many of them have little or no equipment, yet still get amazing results.
After years of working with people in the gym I learnt that getting great results had very little to do with what I did with people IN the gym and was much more reliant on the support and impact I had on those people when they were OUT of the gym. All that support was provided when they weren't in front of me.
That being said, I still want to get to know you and support you as an individual. So you and I speak on the phone or via video chat when you first join and then use that time to set up our regular check-in process, so that we always have clear communication with one another.
This program isn't about me being next to you to count your reps and make sure you're squatting properly. Instead, it's about making sure you are clear on what you need to do in your day-to-day life to get the results you desire, and have the support to get you there.
The Big Day Body Plan is a 12-week program but is not designed to be a quick-fix solution to be used in the final weeks before your wedding day. Instead, we recommend you start your plan at least 3-6 months before your final dress fitting date. In many cases, we have Brides starting their journey 12-18 months before their actual wedding day. Usually, this is to account for things like; wanting some result before trying dresses, first official fittings, feeling great for their Hen Party, having lots of time before final dress fittings, being able to be more flexibile and less strict along the way.
Each Bride's nutritional approach in personalised to them. Some Brides are following a calorie-based approach, others are tracking their food intake in a slightly different way. After speaking with you and finding out about your diet history and what has or hasn't worked well for you in the past, I put together what I believe is the right approach for you and then that plan evolves as you start to see results and begin to better understand what your body responds to best.
In short, I'm not going to give you a pre-made PDF that tells you to eat 'X' for Breakfast, 'Y' for Lunch & 'Z' for Dinner - That doesn't work and isn't individualised at all. Instead, we meet you at a level you are comfortable with that gives you a clear path to follow and understand what good, healthy eating should look like for you.
I recommend that each Bride aims to follow the exercise plans we provide 3 times per week. Not all Brides start at that level and some build to a point where they enjoy doing more than that. I design your plans to fit around your busy lifestyle, which means that most of our plans only take 20-minutes to complete.
The key to our approach with exercise is consistency. So we aim to build something you can do consistently each week, without having to overhaul your life.
Yes - but far fewer than the amount of Brides we work with. As Brides join our plan and start to see success, we have found that their partner may want to get some help and support too. If that's the case, we take the same personalised approach with then and help them build a plan that's individualised to what they want and how their life currently looks.
Most of the plan is delivered via a simple-to-use app. Inside that app I provide your exercise plans, keep in direct contact with you via the messages function and track your progress as you upload your weight and measurements.
Alongside that, we provide support via phone, video & email to make sure that you are always clear on what you should be doing and why it is important for you to do those things.
The price of the program varies depending on how much contact time you want with Matt. Our lowest priced package costs around £1.50 per day (less than your favourite Costa or Starbucks drink). The packages and options are outlined as part of the free 'Planning Call' we offer, once we have determined what your goals are, how long you have to achieve them and what level of support you may require.
Step 1 of our process is to book a planning call with Me. Despite being an online coaching program, I still want to get to know each Bride as an individual and understand your circumstances, ambitions and struggles.
At the end of that planning call, I will provide you with the relevant options available and then it's up to you to decide whether or not you want to be part of the program. There's no pushy sales, that's just not my style. The 'Planning Call' quite simply a friendly chat between you and I to establish how I might best be able to help you and whether or not the Big Day Body Plan is the right option for you.
Whilst working as an in-person Personal Trainer, I found myself in a position where I was working with serveral Brides all around the same time. At that point, I had a large number of clients and enjoyed working with all of them. However, something that struck me was how focused the Brides were and how well they did in sticking to the plans I had built for them.
Most people have a health/fitness goal they want to achieve - Brides are no different in that sense. However, the difference with Bride is that they have a reason to start NOW. They can' just keep putting it off and telling themselves "I'll start on Monday" or "I'll wait until New Year".
It dawned on me that Brides have the perfect combination of; clearly defined goals AND a reason to start now. As a PT/Coach, this makes for a situation where you know that the person you are helping in is a position and mindset to get results that are genuinely life-changing. Those are the types of people I want to help.
Lastly, on a slightly darker note, I also noticed that many of the Brides I helped had tried other things in the past that had frustrated them, hadn't worked or had simply exploited the fact they were getting married. Those approaches weren't built on a foundation of health or lasting results. I see my job as being the opposite of that and helping Brides use their Wedding Date as a bookmark in their own story from which they build the rest of their life, and in doing so, create a version of themself that is healtheir and happier than ever before.
